Between 8 March and 17 August 2020, according to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) there were two hundred seventy-nine thousand one hundred forty-four (279,144) COVID-19 confirmed by rt-PCR, including three thousand six hundred ninety-four (3,694) deaths: Infection Fatality Ratio (IFR1 1.32%).
