59 cops from Bogura donating plasma for Covid-19 patients

Fifty-nine policemen from Bogura, who have recovered from Covid-19, are going to donate their plasma for the treatment of coronavirus patients.

Of them, a total of 40 police personnel started their journey to Dhaka from Bogura police lines by a bus around 11:00am today, to donate their plasma at the Central Police Hospital in Rajarbagh, said Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan, superintendent of Bogura police.

The rest 19 policemen will go to Dhaka for donating their plasma, our Bogura correspondent reports quoting the SP.

Earlier, a total of 149 police members from Bogura were infected with coronavirus. Among them, 142 have already recovered. One policeman died of coronavirus in Bogura.

SP Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan also said a team from the Central Police Hospital came to Bogura two days earlier and checked anti-body among the recovered 117 policemen.

Among them, they selected 59 for plasma donating, added the SP.
