Bangladesh will receive 6.8 crore doses of coronavirus vaccine under the global initiative COVAX (COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access) beginning in May, said World Bank.
World Bank said this in a report published this morning.

There is uncertainty over getting vaccines around the world, but Bangladesh will get vaccines from COVAX very soon, said Mercy Tembon, World Bank’s country director for Bangladesh and Bhutan, while talking to journalists during a virtual briefing.
WB is also set to give Bangladesh USD 50 crore which can be used to buy vaccines for 75 percent of the total population, she said.
Bangladesh received 70 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines from India initially, the WB report mentioned.
