Bangladesh recorded 31 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recorded coronavirus fatalities to 6,838.

The country also logged more than 477,545 coronavirus cases with 1,666 people having tested positive in the last 24 hours.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the latest figures on Covid-19 in the country with a press release on Sunday.

 The country’s maiden cases were reported on March 8 this year and the first death from the virus was reported on March 18.

The world has entered in the eleventh month of the pandemic. At the time of writing, the virus has infected more than 66,923,356 people and close to 1,535,674 people died.
