Two hundred and eighteen have died from Covid-19 in 24 hours (till 8am today). The daily positivity rate during this period stood at 30.24 percent, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country has reached 20,685 and the death rate stands at 1.66 percent.
At least 9,369 new infections were recorded during the period, taking the total number of people infected to 12,49,484 added the release.
The total positivity rate stands at 16.14 percent.
A total of 30,980 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours.
At total of 14,017 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 10,78,212 and the recovery rate at 86.29 percent.
Among 218 deceased, 134 were men and 84 women. Of them, one was between 0-10, six between 21-30, 17 between 31-40, 37 between 41-50, 37 between 51-60, 66 between 61-70, 33 between 71-80, 15 between 81-90, four between 91-100 and two over 100 years old, added the release.
